I just purchased 2 Frontier Boosters (replacing 3 Britax Marathons). They look good. However, the booster seat restraints have thin straps--meaning that they become tangled in the buckles each time they are used. This requires CONSTANT re-jiggering and untangling---each time a child gets in or out of the seat. Needless to say, this is very inconvenient.
However, my biggest complaint is that these items (like the Marathons) were recalled almost as soon as I installed them. While I am happy that they "test the recall adjustment 'fixes' ", it would be so much more convenient if they applied the same rigor and tested their INITIAL designs before "testing" them on the populace.
EVEN WORSE---when I went to the Britax website to "register" for my recall "fix", I received two different answers about the recall FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL SEAT when I registered:
--Your seat has been recalled
--Your seat has NOT been recalled
There was no way to contact Britax about this discrepancy (again, this happened for EACH seat---this is not a matter of getting one answer for one seat serial number and a different answer for the second serial number).
All my Britax products have been recalled at least once---requiring full or partial re-installment (usually in the dead of winter). For the price, these folks need to get their act together.Get more detail about Britax Frontier Booster Car Seat Rushmore.
